Lekker trippie Kobus  :thumleft:    Baviaans is always a great ride no matter how many times one rides it

But I have to ask ...what's with that moerse big gomma-gomma you have strapped to the saddle of the AT? Bit of fragility setting in with old age boet ?  :pot:

:lol8:  Whilst it is very comfortable, its actually used to raise seat height a bit.  With my long legs the standard high setting is still slightly low for me.  Ill be looking out for the new Adventures seat which is the perfect height.

Dis bitter mooi wereld.

Prins Alfred pas maak my altyd op my senuwees.

Yesterday morning it rained in George as predicted.  Much needed rain.  However, with 2 boys, rain days during holiday is usually a nightmare for their mom.

A message to Karoo Rider just before 12h00 confirms that theres no rain at the time in Ladismith.  A couple of quick arrangements and packing the necessary, I relieve my wife of 2 bored boys at around 14h00.

Its still raining as we go over Outeniqua pass, but stops quickly on our way to Oudtshoorn.  Its great to see the mountains recovering after the last fires and this rain will surely help even more.

As usual, we stop in Ladismith to get some essential supplies for the evening.  Shortly afterwards we stop at our usual spot for the evening and start setting up camp.

Die man snork soos n fok@%n stoom trein!

There is nothing on the farm apart from a few roaming buck seldom seen, so this is just a walk more than anything else.  n Man mag mos maar maak asof jy n grootwild boer is.

This time in the morning everything looks prettier.

After a quick breakfast consisting of last nights left over braai, camp is packed up and we hit the road again.

We first stop in Ladismith to talk to a guy we met the previous day.  My cousin is looking for a cheapie 4x4 to explore with us so we stop to look at a potential bargain.

Ive owned two of these XJs in previous years and know how bulletproof they can be, especially in the 4.0 trim.  This one however was neglected too much and we decide to give it a skip after a quick look and exchanging contact details.

Like kids are, its not long before theyre hungry and we stop in Oudtshoorn at this place for the biggest pizza Ive ever seen.

Gelukkig pla snork my nie, maar my vrou wel? :imaposer: :peepwall:

My laaste jaar in Luderitz.

Glad nie n hi-jack nie Louis, daai fotos is priceless.   :thumleft:

:eek7:

Ek sien net gister n advertensie van n veiling hier naby my met so XL 250 te koop.

Toe wonder ek so by myself: self, gaan die ding nie lekkerder wees as die vet tannie wat net in die garage staan nie...

So effense hijack, waarvoor kyk mens as ek iewers n spaarvarkie oopgebreek kan kry voor die veiling?
