Dear fellow Dogs
I am planning a solo trip from Pretoria to Dubai around the end of this year. One hear good and bad stories. Bribing; bad roads, horrible border crossings etc. Good stories about the friendly people and beautiful scenery that you pass by.
So my question is related to the "stories". What is fact and what is story? What do I need to look out for? Is solo advisable (I'm not a banggat but sometimes it is better to be more than one ne?). Road conditions? Border crossings? Bribing? What to take and what not to take.
Especially Sudan area seems to be a little problematic.
Lastly; is there still organized groups that do this type of trip through Africa? How often and at what cost?
