I had to fit a rivit type masterlink on a chain. After a few attempts I still could not see the pin mushrooming. I heard a click on the one rivit and on closer inspection I saw both the pins are cracked on the lip. Is it normal and safe or did I overdo it ? The pin is solid, so the crack is only in the lip.
