As you know, my GS is undergoing some remedial action.

Which means I have been using the Buell exclusively for the past 2 months.
Now its been extremely reliable, and I've done almost 20000km in the past 16 months.
When I got it, I serviced it, bit of paint ect and its been my commuter ever since.
Heres the thread if you really bored https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=187607.msg3480061#msg3480061
Anyway, yesterday I just overtook a car before making my way to take Nelmapius offramp on the R21, at around 130kmph,
she loses power. I managed to get across to the emergency lane in one piece. She didnt die, but was blowing a lot of air and
very lumpy. I didnt have to search far, and wasnt going to fix it on the side of the road.
Rode home on one cylinder, let it cool down and then surveyed the damage.
So its going to be motor out and some engineering. I'm also going to replace the hydraulic lifters if I can get some
as they have been noisy of late.
So now I'm down to using the wife's bike.
Dont you just love Murphy.
