End of April saw a new adventure bike concept .
A four night stay in a central location with superb accommodation, meeting locals, learning about the surrounding area and riding through awesome scenery, all from the foot-pegs of your bike.
We had eleven participants, but unfortunately one participant from George had a fuel pump malfunction and could not get to the event in time and he has his name on top of the list for the next event.
We had one fellow all the way from England who had his travel arrangements planned to the minute. He made it to Johannesburg with no deviation from his schedule but then SAA decided to go on strike and his carefully laid plans flew out the window. As Earl Nightingale said: 'All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.' Shann pushed on and arrived in Rhodes late on Friday night - 36 hours late but kudos to the man for being so positive.
With all participants safely in Rhodes on Thursday evening, except of course, for Shann, everyone was allocated to their rooms and settled in to a fine dinner of Korma Tikka Chicken followed by koeksusters.
