Hi everyone, I recently got myself a stunning midnight blue KLE500.
And I must say, I'm enjoying myself!
So I'm officially part of the KLE500 clan

Any tips and recommended mods from the guys with experience would be appreciated.
Would also like to know if anyone can pls assist with an owners manual and workshop manual?
Want to get to get to know my bike and start tinkering.

Ek sal verseker so maak. Ek kry juis seker vroeg vlg week ñ standaard pyp wat ek gaan laat opsit.

Ysman, Geniet hom! Goeie betroubaare bikes & baie maklik om self op te werk.

Ek stel wel voor kry crashbars. Dit betaal vir hulle self nadat men's die fiets n paar keer laat val. Met crashbars kry die plastiek nie skade nie.

Ook 1 size kleiner sprocket voor maak groot verskil (16 vs 17).

Baie dankie. Ja ek het juis 'n Parts manual en Service manual by trackSHUN gekry. Kan hopelik saterdag begin loer wat gaan onder die plastiek aan

Ek stel definitief belang in crashbars. Sal eers 2e hands probeer optel, maar lyk my hulle is maar skaars. Watse maak crashbars het jy op jou KLE?
Dit lyk mooi en effektief.

Die vorige eienaar van my fiets het sprockets verander. Wil nog loer wat gaan aan.
Teen 120km/h hardloop hy teen so 6000rpm. Dit voel vir bietjie hoog?

Daai sprockets klink reg, my KLE rev so 6000 teen 120km/h.

Dankie, dit is 'n baie nice thread! Het sommer baie lekker gelees.
Goed om te hoor oor die sprockets en rpms.

Was vandag Sandton toe vir 'n meeting en het 96km gery opi snelweg.
Sal verseker 'n plan moet maak met die standard windskerm!!!

Welcome to the clan

I've had mine since new in 2007. It's now on 118 000 km and still going strong. I have lots of experience with this bike. They are bulletproof. My advice is to keep the sprockets standard. I do 120 at just under 6000 rpm.

The place is Waltec Engineering 044 693 one eight 3 one.

Thank you Shaun500. Mine is also a 2007 model with just under 16 000km on the clock. I've got some catching-up to do!

On both my first 2 x tanks of petrol I've gotten 200km's until reserve, and I've mostly taken it easy.
Am getting a standard exhaust from a fellow dog this week. Hope that will improve the fuel efficiency when I swop it for the Tornado exhaust I've currently got.
If my sprockets aren't standard that should also improve the fuel efficiency when I need to replace them at a later stage.

You should get at least 270 km on a tank. That's what I get commuting. I have a free flow zorst with standard air filter and some mild jetting.

They seem like good quality crash bars for a fair price. Will first see if I can't get a second hand set.
Otherwise will obtain a quote for the SW-Motech's as well and then make a decision.
Can't wait to fit them!

You can get 270km out of a tank.Done it.But then you really have to take it slowly.

I get on average 270 km before reserve (12L) commuting. Like I mentioned I have had some mild jetting done on the carbs (98/100 mains). The air filter is standard but has two 6mm hole in the airbox for better breathing. The air screw is tuned out about 2 and three quarter turns out. With a free flow pipe the bike tends to run even leaner than it does with a standard one.
