Morning All,
I have an 800XCx, almost 15 000 kays done and have recentlyexperienced a disconcerting issue (well...actually this has happened about 4 or 5 times) - a total loss of power when riding, it's as if the fuel supply has simply been cut off. On each occassion this has happened, I have been in 6th gear, travelling along at about 80 to 90 and suddenly there is simply nothing. The bike shuts down with a concomitant loss of power. I then shift down to 5th, same thing there. By the time I reach neutral, the problem, whatever it is, has resolved itself and I can set off once again.
I chatted to a mate who also has an 800 XCx and he suggested a possible fault in the Engine Management System could be responsible.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.
