I've had about 14 bikes in the last 10 years, one of which I have owned and ridden for the last 6 years. I may now have found my perfect 2 bike garage ( for now)

I maintain I don't have a problem

Ha ha...I have been called funny names by the missus for always searching for bikes...and particularly the massive bargains which forever happen to cross my path, which I simply cannot let slip to another buyer

So my answer is always the same..."I come home doll, I gave up gholf, I only do two weekends rides in a month with the mates, instead of four, I clean the pool twice a month instead of once, have less pool shoot nights with the boys and generally try my utmost to behave, so I am getting another bike

" Poor woman, she probably realises she is stuck with a bikoholic...and I am very chuffed that she never sent me for some sort of treatment.

I've owned the same bike for eight years, and hope to own it for at least another twenty because I have zero prospect of ever getting another one.

Meanwhile I read about all the new bikes and comment extensively, and often critically and unfavourably about most of them even though I've never ridden them.

It's all I have left.

This is now the 2nd time my wife's car has pissed on my parade. Last month I sent Dux a photo of a scooter I was looking to buy and rebuild and the same afternoon the power steering of swambo's car packed up and cost me R3600, so scooter was lost.
And now this afternoon I was still busy typing a response to one of these threads when I get a call from swambo telling me she's stuck on the side of the road with her car overheating

I'm beginning to think that damn car of hers can read my mind

Now to find out on Monday what that's going to cost me $:-\$

So I'll end with another question... Why will I quite easily spend R7 500 on a new pair of MX boots but replacing the tires on my bakkie for R7 500 will be a grudge purchase and bug me for months?

My issues might be worse than I originally anticipated

Glad to know others too could be suffering almost as much as me-if not more

Because you can not wear bakkie tyres on a ride.
About the car that can read your mind, when I get a bit of surprise money, like from SARS I will not open the envelope in the house. I ask the wife to follow me and the walk about 300 meters down the road and without saying a word show her the amount and we walk back. Since I've been doing this the dishwasher, fridge, microwave etc. has not broken down when I receive some money.

If you have ever noticed my thread you will know i am exactly the same.
I have 1 word of advice, yes, really, just 1: XT
I have had my forester for 3 years, she is fully paid for, and an 11 year old vehicle bought second hand.
I have zero intention of changing.
The 2.5 SG9 XT with an Sti turbo is a fucking beast.
She loves petrol, and i regularly see less than 300km on a 60l tank.
But,
If you want horses, you have to feed them,
And she has loads of horses...

I suggest wearing loose fitting underwear for a week to allow your balls to drop to their former position. Then decide which bike to axe.
