Is the itch scratched yet?

LOL... not yet but I'm looking around for a flea collar  ;)

Yamaha are taking their sweet damn time in launching that new 700 and if they keep dragging their heels then I know how the story will unfold... something along the lines of:

Buff sells his 690
Buff buys a new 701
6 months later...
Yamaha launch the 700 twin... and it a beaut
Buff curls up into the fetal position and starts sucking his thumb  :-\
Might only be 2018 for the 700 Yamaha

More like 2019... the 2018 bikes are apparently getting launched in July this year (rumour only) and I'm doubting the 700 is going to make the lineup. Either that or they're keeping it a very big secret, which I doubt. Even the local Yamaha guys believe the final product will be very different to the prototype to appeal to a wider market segment.
Present bikes: BETA 300RR, KTM 690, Yamaha WR250F

If you're dumb you gotta be tough !!!

I think this is probably the wrong thread to mention that I am still riding the same bike I was riding before this forum started.😔

Read heavy with mediocre suspension and more suited to 50/50 riding  :-\

The 660 Tenere was quite the wait but nothing could surmount the 1200...i even thought 2SD would buy one

Buff, your cure is simple son, you are seeing the wrong therapist. I picked this up from the internet, "When life gets you down remember------- it's only one down and the rest are up" and do not forget (1) the banks have lots of money and (2) how many pairs of shoes does Swambo have.?    When you stop riding you get old!!!
Bum in the saddle, always.
