Bead Blasting Bare Aluminium

I am looking to get a blasting cabinet to restore some parts. I have never done this before and I was wondering what all you fundi's are doing after bead blasting aluminium parts to prevent oxidation.

I am referring to barrels, aluminium swing arms, brake caliper etc. I don't want a polished look but a satin finish but I don't want this to begin tarnishing soon after. I cant imagine that you can apply a satin clear coat is this will surely not adhere without a primer.
