The build has started.... 2 new bedrooms in existing house, redo 2 bathrooms, new kitchen and a new dining/tv room/lounge in the addition. New tin roof and new siding!
First you dig a hole so you can pour your foundation under the "frost line" so that your house don't heave when the seasons change

You make sure the hole slope to the middle to pump out any ground water that may seep in.

You pour the foundation and make sure you add insane amounts of rebar to prevent any movement in the future. We also place drain pipes under the foundation so if water seeps in down the walls it can drain under the foundation towards the sump where it gets pumped out again.

You fill the foundation with 2 feet of gravel and tamp it down.

Then you build your crawlspace wall with treated wood. Now the beam can be installed on which the floor joists will rest
