Remember I said that if the vapour barrier between your drywall and insulation is not a 100% air tight you will get frost in your walls and attic? Well this is what it looks like

I screwed up with the exhaust vent for the hood above the stove.

When I installed it I did not have a drill bit to go right through the inner and outer wall, so I eyeballed it. Needless to say I was a few mm off centre and the ducting did not line up. But a boer maak n plan, and I used a few small pieces that I slid in to each other. So each section could bend a little till it all fit together

I was really impressed with myself that it worked. I was 11pm at night and I told myself I should come back tomorrow after work to seal it where the sections join each other otherwise the hot humid air will leak through the joins and cause frost in my wall. Well, I completely forgot.......and only remembered yesterday.
This is what it should have looked like

I will drag a shopvac in to the attic tomorrow and suck up all the frost before it melts and possibly cause water damage
