We had our first skiff of snow this morning. A wet heavy snow.

And with the first snow, come vehicle accidents. It seems that for some reason people who lived in this country all their life forget how to drive in the snow. This semi took the corner way to tight, and slipped in to the ditch in front of the hardware store.

But no worries. Get a tow truck and he will be back on the road in no time.... but this tow truck got a little too enthusiastic when he hooked up to the trailer.

The torque lifted the front end 5 feet, spun it to the right and set it down on the concrete pillar  :imaposer:

We often use those bullbars to anchor the breakdown rig, also to push other trucks so they are pretty solid.

No snow here in Ontario yet... Waiting with baited breath for our first snow in Canada. We have had plenty rain though and ja, Canadians also loose their driving ability when that happens...

It uses whatever gets in the way as a crush zone.

Thanks for all the well wishes. There  were 112 people from 23 countries. We read the "oath", sang the national anthem, got our certificate and signed next to the x. Tuesday we can apply for passports

Yes. SA passports, but my kids have Canadian passports. We did have permanent residence, but all that meant was we do not need work permits or a travel/work visa to be in Canada. We did not take dual citizenship. I doubt we will ever live in SA again  :'(

Korrek ChrisL. Dit was n rerige bekommernis gewees. Ek het nog nie die kinders vertel hulle ma is van Alberton nie, so kom ons hou dit maar tussen ons tot hulle oud genoeg is om dit te hanteer.  ;D
