I had a friend come over and help with the flooring. He apparently is very good at it.

it's because he uses spacers thats why he is good. :deal:

And another step closer. The pile of stuff in the garage is shrinking

Kids rooms are almost done. Just need to put the closet doors on

Bathrooms need some work still

Kitchen also coming along nicely.

And asked my friend to help me cut a slot to mount the solid beam mantle on my fireplace. Will post a pic of it after I installed it tomorrow

Now you may ask "why start another job when the first one isn't done". Well, the down side of small town living is everything is ordered on the internet. Very few things can be bought off the shelf, so sometimes an item looks good on the web, but when it arrives it looks different and you need to send it back. Or the kitchen sink arrives in several broken pieces and you need to claim from the courier company.

Plus it breaks the boredom of doing the same job for too long.

Fireplace is in and mantle is installed. Still have to decide what colour to stain it

Kitchen and ensuite bathroom almost done.

I am all funned out!! But tomorrow we are moving back to the farm. The kids are really excited. They did not cope well with living in town (none of us did  :patch:) My friend will come do the final electrical connection and hopefully no smoke comes out of the wall sockets. Then life should be back to normal for our family. Till my next project.........  O0

Looking good and if you have stayed out on a farm, it is never easy to adapt to town again.
I dread having to live in a town again, but chances are good that I will be forced to.
Enjoy the "new" house and waiting to see what you think out next to keep you busy and us entertained.

The house is finally a home. And I kept my promise to the kids about opening presents in the new house. Note to self:  do not make unrealistic promises to your kids!
The Christmas tree is up......

And I am enjoying my first klippies en coke. Cheers dogs!!!

My kids are weird. They insist on watching the fire log channel while they watch the real fire. ( yes, it is a 24 hour HD channel that shows a burning fire. Every few minutes some guy comes and puts more logs on the fire)

Where did you get the Klippies?  :drif:
Young enough to know I can, old enough to know I shouldn't, stupid enough to do it anyway.

The best i could do was to get my local grocery store to get me fish paste and Marmite. But no luck on the klippies
