I once read that the size of Johnny's Christmas gift is not dependent on how good Johnny was all year.
It depends on how naughty Johnny's mommy is prepared to be in the next 10 minutes...!  >:D

I am just not built for the cold, this was the worst time for me living in the UK from November to April. I love the Karoo 38+ degree heat even if you can't do much. -30......no thanks  :o

I still struggle to wrap my head around the extreme  temperature swings. When I got home this morning it was -6 C. When I woke up this afternoon it was +7C. And now it is -18C. All within 18 hours.

Never had a cat before. The kids really wanted one, but I do not have the enthusiasm to put up with everything that goes with owning a cat. So I made a list of chores they have to do every day, a long list of chores. And if it is done they get a star. I figured they will never persist in filling up the the chores list with stars. Well, I was wrong, and had to fulfill my promise. We got “Loki” from the local humane society. It was really sad to see all the dogs waiting to get adopted. At least Loki made it out....

Don’t like cats. They get driven over, eaten by the neighborhood dogs or they just leave. Dogs on the other hand are always happy to see you. Even if you were gone for 10 minutes.

Happy for the kiddies though.

Beautiful kitty you got there. Cats are much easier to keep than dogs and they have big personalities. Get the kitty a good scratch pole 2 if possible and she will stay away from your furniture. Also they like to have a high place to lounge and sit and sleep so invest in some good cat trees. Get her lots of toys to play with as well. If you like to see pics of trees and things I can post here .
Get about 2or3 big litter boxes for different parts of the house with clumping litter and just sift out the solids and clumps every evening discard it and top up the litter once a week and the kitty and you will be happy.

Good idea about multiple litter boxes. Got a scratch pole but will get a tree as well. Thanks for the info

Hehe, now you are doomed! :thumleft:
Cats live with people, people do not own catsM
They take over your house and creep deep into your heart via your lap and then purr you to happiness!
Enjoy just as much as your kids!
As said they have a personality off their own.
