Wow, it's FLAT!
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

Hulle se dis so plat hier jy kan jou hond sien weghol vir twee dae lank...

The sales reps treated us to a night on the town in. My first hockey game....ever...It was pretty cool to see. It wasn’t a big game but drew a reasonable crowd for a week night.  Vancouver Canucks vs Anaheim Ducks in Vancouver

Yup, makes boxing look sedate. I once saw a guy shouldered so hard that he hit the Perspex boards with enough force to rip them out of their mountings. This was in Toronto, game was against Buffalo City.

What struck me is how well the entire setup is run. The centre is a sort of mini-mall, with lots of shops, great atmosphere, loud, but no loutish behaviour. Really enjoyed it. It's just so fricken fast, you cannot look away for a split second!

For interest sake, to qualify for a season ticket (at least for the Toronto games), you have to put your child's name on the list right after birth. He/she may eventually get to the front of the waiting list by the time they're 40 or 50...  Almost all games are fully sold out - the Canucks love their hockey!

They actually toned down the fighting and the body checks because of all the concussions the had to deal with.

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/sports/hockey/the-nhl-takes-the-path-less-travelled-on-fights-which-may-help-save-the-sport/article37423574/

The guys we went with mentioned how much “smaller” and more athletic the players became and because of that the game is a lot faster. There is the odd fight though. The most fights are now between the crowd in the stands.
And Roxenz is correct. They are passionate about hockey. It is all they talk about. In every bar you go to there is at least 4 different games of hockey on the TV’s

Some more pics of Vancouver

Seems like we are having an early spring this year.
This pic taken April 9 2018

And this one taken today

They just came back from holiday in SA, and he couldn’t wait to get back on his bike. I thought I would let him ride his bmx a little bit to get the “feel” for 2 wheels again after no riding for 5 months

2 years ago he could hardly touch the foot rests  :'(

Spring is dragging its feet. It still drops down to minus temps at night, but at least it gets up to low teens during the day.
Its creating a big fire hazard. There are lots of water laying around, but the grass is dry since nothing is growing because of the freezing temps.
We are getting a lot of these mini snow squalls

Nothing better than  taking an afternoon stroll in the woods in your batman pyjamas!

Do you get bears where you live...?

Some parents are paranoid about kids being on their own in the wood with bears about.
