You need to load MSR software extra, then only will it wheelie  :thumleft:

when you connect a Garmin to the 1290 Dash via bluetooth, when the voice says TURN LEFT, your left flickers go on.

Die dongle is net om die setting te onthou as jy die bike af gesit het.
Die software upgrade (travel pack) is om traction control en abs heel af te sit.

My new 1290R is supposed to be prepped for delivery by tomorrow.  I spoke to my salesman about this thread.  He phoned the KTM rep whom confirmed the bike will wheelie with TC turned off.  I'm going to get the stipulation in writing that if the bike will not wheelie with TC turned off, I will receive the MSR download for free.  I'm going to see if they'll let me ride the bike before signing the papers.  Can't wait I'm excited to ride this much hyped bike.

If you dont have the MSR loaded onto the bike, it will not wheelie. It will lift the front like in normal SPORT mode to about knee high, and it will go down again.
On the std bike, you only have TC in the Menu. Once you loaded the MSR, the menu will show TC+MSR.
Sound strange, that you need to load MSR, just to switch it off again, but its true. So they dont work apart then, its only one thing that you switch off.

Guys reported that in Offroad mode, without MSR, the bike wheelies just fine, but then you only have 100hp.

Trust me, no MSR= no balance point wheelies. You wont be able to slide the rear out on dirt also. Offroad mode will slide the rear, again, then only 100hp.

They sell the MSR as part of the Travel Pack, but you can load MSR on its own, if you ask your dealer nicely

Without MSR, even when you switch TC OFF, it still lurks in the background, and will activate when it thinks bike is out of control. That is why it prevents decent wheelies. Its like a "safety" feature that kicks in when it wants to  >:D MSR tells the TC to go fly a kite, and off is then off

If your bike has the Knobbly tyres on from factory, ask your dealer to remove the 125mph limiter on the mapping for you  :thumleft:
