"Priming" XT600 dry sump engine

Hi I cannot find any workshop manual on my 1989 XT600, the engine is dry sump but stores the oil in a tank instead of the frame. I have drained all the oil from the motor and removed the oil cooler and tank to clean things up thus the whole bike has zero oil in it. There is no oil filler anywhere to be seen on the motor, if I add new oil in the tank how will the oil get to the motor or oil pump ? Do I need to wait for it to drain into the engine or give it some kicks with the ignition off ? Would appreciate any info.
