So I'm reading this article about bike travel the other day when the idea is raised of riding your bike to a foreign destination and then getting rid of it to overcome the expense of shipping it home. Now I don't know about you guys but that idea is inconceivable to me...no way I'm abandoning my travel partner somewhere in the sticks...But I know of other adventurers to whom the bike is nothing more than a tool to be used to achieve a dream, nothing more, nothing less....
Having been on the WD forum for some time I would argue that (dare I say it) the majority of us develop this weird 'relationship' with an amalgamation of metal and plastic that could be construed as unnatural, irrational or (to 'normal' human beings - none of us on the forum are normal - or are we?) perhaps borderline crazy.
Do you have a relationship with 'your' machine.......or is it just a bike?
