Man and Machine. First day.

I rode up this morning to have a look and quite a spectacle it was. Around Midmar it started turning white and by the time I reached Boston just before 7am my Chinese heated grips where on full which means VERY, VERY cold. There were some sad looking under-dressed camp followers around when I arrived at the coffee hut wondering what the hell they came for. By the time the ambo had finally found the correct venue and field got started it was quite a bit warmer and the frost had gone.The field was 379 riders of all shapes, size and gender including some well known Wild dogs. No soft bananas here!
