Man and Machine. First day.
« on: July 28, 2017, 01:52:48 pm »
I rode up this morning to have a look and quite a spectacle it was. Around Midmar it started turning white and by the time I reached Boston just before 7am my Chinese heated grips where on full which means VERY, VERY cold. There were some sad looking under-dressed camp followers around when I arrived at the coffee hut wondering what the hell they came for. By the time the ambo had finally found the correct venue and field got started it was quite a bit warmer and the frost had gone. The field was 379 riders of all shapes, size and gender including some well known Wild dogs. No soft bananas here!

Yes, name them, even Clint Eastwood would be jealous of those squints. :thumleft:

Squinting into the morning sun is Trevor Bird, there with his big mate Derrick Cochrane (having a pee) and the other Derrick was also there. The hard on banana boys are Prof. Peter Burnett, Scott Burnett and friend Travis.

Comforting to know that I am not the only grizzled hard banana still playing with enduro bikes. :)

Don't look back, that's not where you're going.
