This question has probably been asked a thousand times but ya.

I bought my 990 a year & 10,000km ago for a good price; probably R10k less than it should have sold for.
Maybe the seller knew what was coming but since then I've spent around R6,000 in servicing and repairs (water pump), and I'm facing another R25,000 service & repair bill now (throttle bodies and fuel level sensor) of which my aftermarket warranty is paying R11,000.

I've paid enough of the finance that I can sell it for what I owe on it and maybe drown my sorrows with the change. Buying a very low mileage 1200-class replacement now would cost me about R1000pm more, which I can afford but wouldn't leave much room for potential repair costs.

So, do I hang on to the 990 in the hopes that it holds its value and doesn't explode (any more)? Or do I cut my losses and trade up?

And yes, Silvrav & King Louis, enjoy your giggle  :p
