"Skills Park" near Rustenburg
« on: August 20, 2017, 08:48:24 pm »
Sorry for the lack of details, but I saw this place online a while back and always wanted to visit.

For the heck of me cannot remember where I saw it,  seemed like a proper skills park with sands/rocks and all kind of obstacles for heavy adv bikes.

Anyone know what place I'm talking about?    Pretty sure it was Rustenburg.

Quit smoking Friday and the only thing I know keep me occupied enough not to loose my mind  is riding like mad (no not on tar), so figured go find this place and sommer stay / camp nearby for the weekend.

There's Feedback park close to zwartkops. Rhino park out toward cullinan from the R25 is also an option

It isn't maybe ADA that you are thinking of? Brilliant training facility (www.adasa.co.za)

You are speaking of Dual Sport Adventure (www.dualsportadventure.co.za).

I was there on Saturday. Really good setup, challenging obstacles.

Yep, that was the one thanks, Herman.

Dwerg:  I'm actually a Feedback Park regular.  Just want to do something different and love these skill parks.  (Rhino park some time, never been there)

Go to Fokker Bar, place too new to show on Google Earth.

Best at the moment to "see" the track is a couple of youtube videos
Their one:

ps: Few more obstacles now, and heard they adding a bit this week to prepare for some BMW club skills event.  Won't know though.

And a couple silly ones I made

ADA not open to the public (thought they asked about dates and open to "Making a plan")
I  can imagine them being great.  Got some great (free) tips from ADA lady taking pics at Feedback Park opening (July or Judie I think) and their youtube videos is cool.

@Jaco, the place is new (also did not know) only been up for a month or so.

The place is AWESOME!  Damn, I really had to challenge (and surprise) myself.

Will definitely be travelling the 120km's with a smile every other weekend or so.  Tons of obstacles, and those you not comfortable with, there's an alternative detour around each.

They seem to have some cool skills challenges planned, even for night times.  (apparently one can overnight at the BnB next door, I'm going to ask about camping)

Lady running the shop shared this video:  https://youtu.be/JN9dlwQaiXw  ..not the greatest video but give you the idea I suppose.

Sounds awesome.

I travelled that road twice this past weekend, but did not see this place. Do they have a sign outside?
I am not comfortable on anything technical and this place being so close might give me opportunity to change that.

I kinda got lost and found it by accident.  I just turned into that Dieni Estates road and then the sign was on my left.   GPS / Smartlink App wasn't very usefull.

Ja, I thought it was further down the road.
Asking a guy from Gauteng to tell me what's going on in my own backyard. :o

lol..actually lived in Rtb for 12 years but not recognizing the place.

Nearly missed the sign (brownish theme not really standing out).
Btw, the gate was just open at a gap and I nearly turned around thinking it's closed.  Just continue through to the end.

Love it, going to keep going back till I master the sand before the rain's start.  Then learn all over in the mud (only started riding offroad few months back)

Found it. They are closed every Monday and every third weekend of the month, just so you don't drive through mahala. But if you do, ring me up for a cold one.
