Confirm SEs?

Measure the width of bike and compare total width to available load bin size.

Length from the front of the front wheel to rear axle.

Most guys bolt a piece of metal to the front, top of the load bin, with ends that protrude outside of the load bin, to increase angle of tie downs.

I would think the canopy will have to come off.

He means he does not want to take the canopy off if they aren't going to fit in any case.

They should Ricus, only issue might be handlebars width, just pop a pillow in between and tie them together.   :thumleft:

Thanks for the replys.... I've taken some measurements and it looks like it just might fit if I load them 1 front facing and 1 rear facing... :thumleft:

Cant speak on the width, but a mate of mine used to take his DR650 on a Nissan 1400 - the relevance here is that he used a builders plank (used on scaffolding) and put the bike on that - that way there was no excessive weight on the tailgate. Nailed some 38mm square pieces of wood on the top to stop the wheel sliding off sideways. The plank was essentially loose in the back and the bikes fastened down properly at 3 points per side.......

I used to transport my 990 on the back of a Navara. Used a thick plank with a step up piece near the rear to keep the weight off the tailgate. I reckon the first one in backwards & the second front end first. Let us know  :)

Yes they will fit - a bit of patience will be needed to get the correct fit so the bars don't rub against each other, nothing a blanket or rags cant fix. Just buy a piece of shutterboard and slide it into the bed of the double cab - it should go from the end of the tail gate to the end of the bak that way the weight is distributed evenly and the rear wheels don't put unnecessary pressure on the tailgate- use lots of tie downs and make sure the bikes are not touching and you will be good to go.

My antwoord is nee.
