Replacement rear spring compatibility

Question is if the replacement spring that was fitted to my fugly model shock will fit on the new model shock that I got to replace the fugly shock. I recently bought a new model shock as my original fugly shock was totally toasted. The fugly shock however had a replacement, stiffer spring fitted, which I will now like to put on the new model shock.

I know the new model shock is in total 10mm shorter than the fugly shock, so I would like to know if this is going to cause an issue with the spring and its compatibility. I think it could work, but its just because I don't want to by another spring...
