Straddling the Rooiberg mountain just south of Calitzdorp is the Rooiberg Pass - 14 km of continually changing scenery will keep you busy via 69 sharp bends, corners and curves, which include 6 full hairpins. Built in 1912 the pass, which summits at 797m ASL connects Van Wyksdorp in the south with Calitzdorp in the north.
