A bit light in the dry hot sun you want to opt maybe for a heavier grade like SAE90 :D Damn I can just smell that stuff thinking of it

Back when I was a Lad, Etc, Etc, I grew up with a wonderful smell, (no not that one) it was a Vegetable based Racing Oil called "Castrol R" REALLY!

Wonderful Smelling Stuff, they could have made aftershave from the smell (but they might have got the wrong attention).

Offroad riding for me is the smell of 2 stroke and the texture of mud or dust.

Hmm, the smell of burnt castor oil is also superb

Yep a J.A.P. 500 single, not a Jap 500 single, total loss castor oil system, (do not top it up with 20W50) grass tracker.

Hmm J.A.P. makes me think of Lawrence of Arabia with Peter O Toole kickstarting and riding a Brough Superior into the distance. Best start to any movie ever. He does end up in a hedge only minutes later though.
