This week we head off to the Witkop Pass - a fairly tough 18 km long bush road that frequently degenerates to track level. It's developed something of a reputation as a bike killer. It lies far north in Limpopo Province near Lephalale (previously Ellisras) and the area offers over 500 private game reserves. We unpack the pass and dig into the attractions of the area, which include the Medupi power station, as well as SA's biggest open cast mine and a take a deep look at the D'Nyala Game Reserve, where the original and now famous 'bosberaad' between F.W. De Klerk and Cyril Ramaphosa took place, which paved the way to the first 1994 democratic elections.
The page will remain open to all until Sunday. Enjoy the 3 part video series.
