I have just gotten my hands on a stock standard Dakar 06 model, (except for the pipe),
Im a heavy guy (+-100kg depending on what I até for breakfast), and have a love for bad dirt roads. Coming from riding dirt bikes, the front forks are not up to scratch but before I go balls to the walls and fork out on a WP replacement and lose the Abs in the process, how much improvement would I get by going to 20w oil in the fork?
Im not expecting the Dakar to ever behave like a proper Enduro, just want a little firmer front fork. The rear, properly adjusted for the riding conditions seems okay for now. I just need to get it back up to standard height, as it has a lowering kit installed.
