Poor form removing someone's mirror en klaar.

Do we ram other vehicles who cut us off, or nearly clips us in traffic while we are in our cars???

Move on..Period!
But he said to me, ďMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.Ē Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christís power may rest on me.

Rider's probably still pissed off about his high "on the road" fees. :xxbah:

Always two sides to a story. I have sat in traffic, between cars for some distances because a blind/obstinate driver refuses to move over so I could pass.

You do mention that your Mom is bike-friendly, so what could have pissed the rider off so much to kick off the mirror?

Of course, it is a known fact that the road belongs to BMW riders and drivers. Just not sure what the split in ownership shares is. :pot:

I thought you might make a comment like "What do you expect when trying to thread a hippopotamus through a large gap in the traffic"  :imaposer:

Please get your mom to lay a criminal charge against them
Behaviour like theirs, causes cage drivers to be aggressive towards us bikers

I think the statue of limitation has expired on this one as it happened on the 17th of September. Got brought up in conversation again yesterday and I thought I'd share.

It's her new car and she's bummed and my dad super pissed. They are biker friendly people and have chosen not to press any charges.

Hi, there is no such thing as an expiry date. You have been given the correct advice, now your mom, as the driver of the car, must just action it without too much delays.

For what itís worth, there is an act that deals with the proscription of offences (obviously murder, rape, etc and our favourite, high treason, never proscribe).  If memory serves right, offences proscribed after 10 to 20 years of the act having been committed, depending on the type of offence. The longer you wait, however, the more problematic it becomes to prosecute. (good news for all you ex pot smokers and mainliners)

What amazes me about this forum is, depending on who tells the story depends on the response you get.

You are so right about this Fuzzy, I have seen it many many times on the forum.

A classic example:  a member starts a thread about his lowlife tenant who hasn't paid rent for months and asks for advice. Forum members will then agree what a dipshit this tenant is and offer all sorts of advice, ranging from taking the doors off the property, to cutting off water and lights, to moving a family of homeless Nigerians into the property.

Another member starts a thread about his asshole landlord who wants to evict him and his family because he has fallen behind on the rent. This has resulted in members starting a collection for the tenant to assist him in paying his rent and condemning the landlord as a heartless twatwaffle.

Same sets of facts, just different outcomes depending on who told the story  :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4: :laughing4:
How can I be lost if I've got nowhere to go?

Look, there is a real possibility that his forks has just collapsed, and he accidently broke the mirror, in his haste to get to the backyard BMW crimping recall. :eek7:

Or the play in his FD caused too much rear wheel steer that he clipped the mirror by accident?

Just mentioning possibilities.

Don't really care what his side is. If he punched off an older lady's car mirror and sped off like a pussy I don't value anything he has to say as a human being.

I'm sure his female thought he's the man -Vicious cycle

Of course, this thread may have looked completely different had the older lady swerved in front of the biker, and cause either rider or pillion to be seriously injured.
What was done to the biker by the car driver to initiate such an extreme act? Nothing whatsoever? The biker just has a "break off a mirror a day" attitude?

Case opened yet?

Yes of course there is always another side to the story.
And yes the lady driver must have done something to piss of the biker - only they know what that might have been, and it could have been a close call or it could have been just a gap which was to small for the biker to go through, we do not know.

We also do not know if he stopped to discuss the issues (both sides of the story) it seems he did not.

Clearly she did not take them out or make them fall, I am quite sure we would have known about that.

In the end the biker still broke off her mirror, which is illegal.

If it was my mother I would have made sure she opened a case with SAPS and followed up on it.
If she refused that would have been the end of the story as far as I am concerned.

Makes me think of so many situations where people bitch and moan about others breaking the law, while they either also behave in a similar fashion with selectively, or do not want to open a case and follow through because it is 'too much trouble' or 'SAPS will not do anything about it anyway' - well how do you want them to do anything about things they do not even know about.

Be part of the problem or part of a solution, that is the choice we all have on a daily basis.

Yes, this makes complete sense.
No matter really what the old lady did, when the biker took off her car mirror, he took that one step over the line. Now, what ever she may have done to him before is irrelevant, and will just look like an excuse from him.
