Can someone please check the attached file and warn me if the loop (yellow) is red route (for CaveGirl and myself) and if the piece of dirt from the bash site to Tugela ferry is ok to ride.

Thanks
Leon

Leon.... that gravel road bash to Tugela ferry is good, however, the locals are known to be belligerent from time to time. They had protest action there recently and I would be careful.
Allan1 had to turn around at Tugela ferry because of safety reasons.

It's a really lekker route, but enquire about conditions closer to the time and maybe have a contingency plan.

Cool, will do Tommy. Last year we came through there on the way down to the bash, it was election time and there was one hell of a party, that town (Tugela Ferry) took an hour to get through!

Liar. I arrived there after you and saw why it took you so long "kroeg vlieg". Those people that say "white men can't dance" have never seen Leondude in the heart of Tugela Ferry, during elections, bumping and grinding

Ok dogz..... The organising committee is meeting at Imbabala on Saturday to finalize arrangements.  :thumleft: :thumleft:
We've had an offer by John Brisco from BMW to run a riding course for Intro and Intermediate riders at a special of R500.oo which will cover basic riding posture in dirt, weight positioning, line positioning, elements of braking, towing and puncture repair. I don't know if anyone is keen?

We also have various self-ride routes on the Saturday available, and these are being done on an Adhoc basis.... no hard and fast rules . Riders can make arrangements once there. Alternately just chill and party!
There's also one more 4 bed chalet/dorm available apparently, so contact Steph at Imbabala directly if required.
I'll post some pics of routes in the area shortly.
Getting close now!  :ricky: :3some: :snorting:

Draad, the names on the attendance list need an advanced course, not beginners. I don't think you're going to get many takers.

Perhaps but this course also focus on the "  perfected speed roll " of a joint  You will roll with one hand after that course  :thumleft:

I would be keen on doing John Briscoe's Intro course. I also find myself lying down in the dirt like ButchH. Maybe John can tell me why.......
Draad's intro drinking course not needed - I've passed Novice level on that one, and working towards Intermediate status.

Howsit guys.....
Will there be anybody else interested in John Brisco's course?
Please let us know, as John needs a minimum number of 5 to 7 riders to make it worth his while. We would have to let him know in the next week or so .
