Lang's Nek (KZN)

This is a belated update on last week's news release (due to the fact that we were away filming) and features a range of interesting topics with the featured pass being the historic Lang's Nek where today's series of camera traps on the N11 have replaced some of the fiercest battles fought during the Anglo-Boer War. We unpack Colley's folley as we learn how the three decisive battles were won by the Boer forces. It was also a turning point in British military history, when they realised (too late) that their scarlet tunics and shiny helmets made them sitting ducks for the superior marksmanship of the local farmers.
