Briljant sien nou eers die thread

I attended my first ever Roof last year. I pit crewed for a mate who ended up 3rd in Bronze category what an awesome experience it all was. This year we are only going to be spectating. We are taking the bikes down on Thursday and will be riding around with them. I have the fastest KLR so you wont be able to miss me  ;) Once the route is posted I would appreciate some advise on routes etc and look out points from the ones who know way more than me...

Good luck to all the riders! Will definitely be shouting hard on the side lines  :ricky: I will also have extra brandy with me in case of emergencies, just stop next to me, I will fill her up  :thumleft:

For those of you trying to collate all those pages of loops I've logged the spectator points onto one gps file. They are in date/loop/spectator point order so 17L2spec3 will be Friday 17th loop 2 spectator point 3. Ignore the Mt Moroosi/Semonkong planning. We probably will if it is raining too!

One year we did "white man's pass' where the redcoats went over which I really enjoyed and have wondered where it was. I see it is going to be Soldier's Way pass on the Saturday loop. Also looking at my bookcase it looks like a year went missing somewhere, I remember it being cancelled once but I didn't realise they skipped a year.

Big Dom, snow forecast? :sip:

Not phased - been watching the weather for about a month  :laughing4:  Some do forecast a small snow flurry on Thursday morning near Ramabanta  ::) and yes Thursday will be cold and then warming up Friday and Saturday. There are always thunderstorms around this time of the year. One cannot change the weather - just be prepared with an extra soft rain mousse and extra soft compound tyre for traction  :thumleft:

Josh is ready for the mountains  :ricky:

Please any WD's spectating who may be at the Assisted Refuel - Spectator Point 2 on Friday Loop1 PLEASE assist him with refueling and filling hydration if needed. I will not be able to be there and make the next DSP in time. While this is essentially a self-refuel they are allowing assistance this year so feel free to help.  :thumleft:

PS. Note the WD sticker on the front number board  8)
