OK - so this is hardly a pass that's going to get an adventure biker's pulse racing, but statistically it's the biggest of the 11 passes in Gauteng. What adds spice to this pass is the rich ABW (Anglo-Boer War) history and you've never taken the time to stop, make a plan to visit Barton's Folly, where you can see the 1899 built block-house with the odd, but interesting name and if you a few dollars spare, you can book in and try your hand at trout fishing and overnight in the very comfortable lodge.
