I see the tank is back up front like most bikes.

BLK post more pics and tell us more about how you experience the bike.
I did read elsewhere you were impressed with quick access to the air filter which I like!

This is why I will never buy an early Gen1 model of any manufacturer especially BMW. Always wait for all the initial issues and gremlins to be ironed out.
Pass this way once!

I have had no gremlins to speak of.I also have a 3 year warranty so I am not particularly worried about anything.I find politics in SA a lot more worrying.

Why i also recently bought a late model 800 - took them years to fix the issues - instead of a new 850.

But then again the price difference made it an easy choice 8)

So now from what I hear it seems we'll have to wait a bit longer for it. What a pity.  >:D

I was on the local launch of both bikes and the little 750GS spoke to me the most. Keep in mind that I dwarfed both bikes and I felt that the 850GS needed more seat height to get the pegs/seat ratio to my liking.  Maybe a flat rallye style seat would have been cool.

On the 850, off the road, the nose pushed everywhere, mainly due to over-inflated tires (first time riding on the Anakee Wilds) and the suspension was still too soft for my liking, even in Enduro Pro mode. On the road it was a lot of fun with little wheelies here and there and banging the quickshifter up and down also gave a few little grins.

The paint looked amazing on the Tri-color model and the fancy dash is impressive but it still lacks something. I'm still very much an old-school Africa Twin / KTM 950 guy, but I can see the place for the new GS in the market. It is just a little pricey though and a ballhair under 200k

The reach to handlebars seem long compared to the seat/peg position. Did you feel stretched forward?
Flat rally seat wont work nicely with that camel hump thing they have going on. Funny design, I've seen this massive hump on the 1200 too.

Ja, but you could at least take the lawnmover to Groenie to fix for a beer >:D

That is my BMW replacement skid plate.A very nice piece of kit indeed.I have no idea why they dont just put the proper kit on in the 1st place.
