I find your lack of updates disturbing   >:D

What sort of consumption do you guys get when riding relatively sedately? I struggle with the idea of commuting on a bike that won't give 25km/l

I get 23.5km/l commuting. Thats at sea level, a mix of heavy traffic and max speed of 100km/h (crazy Aus speed limits). Easily get 380 km on a tank and then fill up with 16l on the dot.

Filled up on Sunday , I think I was pushing the edge , I only got 305km on the tank but only been using the bike to blast into Knysna or Plett from the farm .
On the long road through Africa I have gotten better km's off a tank but then speeds are down avoiding potholes and looking at scenery

What is this sixth gear you are speaking of? :)

To be honest, 6th is a bit of a novelty for most of the commute...

Looks like these will be the "wicking" type which will make a welcome change as most other branded gear is cotton.  I am not a fan of cotton for bike riding as it dries too slowly

Sounds a lot like my commute except for the sea level bit. Most of it is 3rd gear low revs lane splitting with 100km/h open sections
