The depth of the springs at the bottom of Kitch-iti-kipi are at a depth of approximately 12 meters.
The timber that has fallen into the water has fallen on the banks underwater created by the springs pushing the sands up.
Although the timber appears to be 2-3 cm and one diving in the water would most definitely hit the timber, the timber is actually at a depth of around 6 meters. Truly a sight to see in person.
Out of all the places I’ve ridden on a motorbike in my country and Canada, Kitch-iti-kipi is probably the most beautiful natural wonder I’ve ever laid eyes on. I really enjoy visiting the ‘Mirror of Heaven’ anytime I’m in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
It appears Takashi was closest with his guess.
