After enjoying a couple ice cold beers talking with some local Texans in Luckenbach, I continued my journey Southwest.
I rode the Devil's Backbone, before heading to do the 3 Twisted Sisters.
The 3 Twisted Sisters consists of 3 Texas Ranch Roads. Remember these numbers if you ever find yourself around Austin or San Antonio, Texas. Do yourself a solid and go drive or ride these roads.

On the way to ride the 3 Sisters, I come across the Double Creek Ranch with a Rust in Peace cemetery for old farm implements. A nice old McCormick Farmall tractor that time has forgotten. I bet some fresh fuel and a fresh battery could bring her back to life.

Riding the Three Sisters is approximately a 100 mile or 160 kilometer loop of motorcycling nirvana. It is as if you're riding a roller coaster. Up, down, curve, up, curve, down, curve, simply amazing roads and scenery.

A map containing the location of the Three Sisters ride. The surrounding area is all beautiful riding as well. I began the loop in Leakey, TX and rode in a clockwise direction over to Camp Wood, TX. Then North to HWY 41. Iirc, the posted speed limit on 41 was 80 or 85mph, or 129 or 137kph. It is easy to cover a lot of distance at those speeds. I twisted the throttle on the Harley up to 100-110mph or 161-177kph without a worry in the world. Texas cops out in the middle of nowhere just simply don't seem to give a shit how fast people are going. I met an oncoming cop when I was over 100mph and he didn't turn around to chase me or flick on his lights.
Then turned back south on Ranch Road 336 back to Leakey, TX. After I completed riding the Three Sisters, I rode back East to Vanderpool, TX and stopped for a beverage, again just shooting the shit with some nice locals.

I was proud to finally say I rode the 3 Sisters. From Vanderpool, I headed Northeast on Farm Market 187 to HWY 39, an amazing stretch as well, to Kerrville, TX where I spent the night in a cheap but kind of a shit-hole motel room with an insect problem. It was a long day in the saddle at just shy of 1,000 kilometers at 610 miles, but like I said, with getting an early start and with high speed limits, you can cover a lot of distance.
