Those boots maybe? No ways Asterix would wear a hat that smart ???

Loop around Hasselt (incl Houthalen)

Beautiful photo's again.

Is this a sunken bridge? And why would they do that?
Yes. It is a sunken bridge - first for me. Why, have no idea except because they can I guess. A tourist attraction no doubt.

I still want to go there.

According to family history, my ancestor fled France (bergerac) through germany onto Enkuizen. They lived in Toren Street. There he met his wife, had children and put them all on a ship when the call came from uncle Jan.

What's the story with the bike on a leash, down by the river?

This is what happens with +120 riders. Who knows why. Too fast on too big a bike? Was entertaining to say the least. Not sure how many actually completed the whole track. Various pubs on the way may have played a part.

Was arranged as a navigation route event with a GPS track to follow. Ended up with a group from Belgium led by a good rider. He was on a BMW 800, played music through his headset and motored happily along. All most enjoyable.

Isn't it just such a nice feeling to cycle anywhere you want without giving personal and road safety a second thought. We spend hours cycling through the forests here in Netherlands.

It's really beautiful with all the forests and trees, but the landscape seems very flat. There are probably some hills around?
