A few of us on the forum wanted to do something constructive regarding the conservation of wilddogs.  What we wanted to do was to support initiatives that will ensure the survival of the species and not do just look after wilddogs kept in captivity.  Davy and I did some research on this, and thanks to his connections in Namibia we got hold of Robin Lines, a guy who spend months at a time tracking and studying the dogs.

We will be hosting a get together for Robin Lines of the Namibian Wild dog project in Centurion next week Thursday 4th of September at around 18:30-19:00.

Robin will entertain us at the Golden Pipit with a presentation on the dog project in Namibia and tell us more about his studies during the past 6 years on these remarkable animals. Davy have met with him on occassion and was inspired by his deep routed knowledge and passion for these animals. I am sure it will be interesting to spend an evening in his company and talk about this experiences in the Namibian bush.

We have taken the liberty to arrange a braaivleis with the host at the Golden Pipit for the evening. We have tentatively reserved for 20 people but sincerely hope we can increase that figure!

A full meal braaivleis with starters and dessert will cost R150-00 per person. There is also a cash bar for the thirsty ones.

This is where they should be.  Running free.
