Ill never forget Carinus Lemmer at Flandria cycles k*kking me out for dismounting a smart racing bicycle like that. He claimed you never treated a quality bike with such disrespect and that such behaviour was best left to delivery bike riders.
"These are not machines for the meek. Ride it like you stole it, cane it within an inch of its life. It will require a bunch of maintenance and generally tend to be, shall we say, harsh? It was bred for racing, after all. It will devour rear tires and its lust for fuel will astound you. It will suffer indifference and carelessness very poorly. Like heroin and Asian girls, it's not for everybody, but when you absolutely, positively, GOTS to beat every m*****f****** in the race, accept no substitu

Advisable to only do this after scanning the rolling dismount "runway".

Be a bot of bother for that side-stand to hit a high spot or rock on the final run-up, with both feet on one side already. :ricky:

Also, do not try this on your 690, or a 701, the bike has to be leant a bit to the opposite side to actually get the stand to be engaged.

I already did it but without the sidestand trick  :imaposer:
