Ill never forget Carinus Lemmer at Flandria cycles k*kking me out for dismounting a smart racing bicycle like that. He claimed you never treated a quality bike with such disrespect and that such behaviour was best left to delivery bike riders.

It was bred for racing, after all. It will devour rear tires and its lust for fuel will astound you. It will suffer indifference and carelessness very poorly. Advisable to only do this after scanning the rolling dismount "runway".

Be a bot of bother for that side-stand to hit a high spot or rock on the final run-up, with both feet on one side already. :ricky:

Also, do not try this on your 690, or a 701, the bike has to be leant a bit to the opposite side to actually get the stand to be engaged.

Do the stoppie while extending the "too-long" sidestand, will have great ground clearance!  :thumleft: :ricky:

Us shorties and the XR500's  :imaposer:
Get to a stopstreet and you either run it or need to stop next to the pavement.
If you have to start it on a sandy patch, you are stuffed. :peepwall:
Good skil to have though.
