New SA distributor for Hyosung
« on: August 27, 2008, 09:10:25 am »
I notice that Hyosung has a new SA distributor:  :mwink:

News release

Now, I wonder if they will consider importing the Hyosung XRX 400  It would appear as if this scoot must be very similar to the venerable DRZ400.

Quick specifications:

449 cc, single cylinder,
DOHC, 4-stroke
5 speed
Front wheel: 3.00 - 21  Rear wheel: 4.60 - 18
Dry weight: 139 kg

In my opinion the Korean motorcycles is way ahead the Chinese stuff, maybe even comparable to the Jap bikes.  One only have to look at the built quality of the motor vehicles that we are now getting from Korea (Kia, Hyundai, ect)

It's a rip-off of Suzuki's SV650 and according to every report I've read not a very good one.
98 Black AT & the wheel from a 04 KLR 650.

Problem is that the Suzuki SV650 is one of the best little touring/sport bikes out there. It is no match for a Honda CBR600RR but then that is a full fledge race bike. The Hyosung GT650R up against a Bandit 600 or a last years Fazer 600 would be much of a muchness.

Hyosung is much cheaper than a SV or a Bandit or even a Fazer. If the parts are available that just makes good common sense..

Would I buy one..... Never... Still not sure how to pronounce Hyosung..   ;D ;D ;D ;D

A guy who rides offroads with me recently did this to his little Hyosung 250.

Looks damn cool, I would love to commute on it.
Can, ATV Hi bars, twin lights, etc.

The 250 is the same size as the 650, so either would do for a cheap commuter.

for sure the suzuki would be better

but the sv goes for 66k and the gtr650 goes for 47k last time i checked

thats a 20k difference and the gtr has full fairing

but then i would rather just buy a good zzr 1100 again for 28k  ;D

This pic is not quite the same angle, but things look very similar to me, besides the upside down forks - probably from the SM and round not rectangular frame. Obviously different plastics etc.

It still looks like the 125 KMSA imported, they could have styled it more aggressively and it would have sell better imho.

But they are definitely better that fong kong stuff
