Thinking about Rhino lining the top of my BMW panniers

I have been thinking about having polyurethane Rhino lining sprayed on the top of my panniers to prevent scuffing from boots and bags i tie down onto the panniers for long trips.

This would seem to be extremely durable but I am not sure it will pass the aesthetics test.

Has anyone done this before.

I have read countless threads on 3M clear film etc but it never seems permanent as a solution
