Should I buy a 2013 LC?

I can get my hands on a 2013 model 1200 LC with about 45k km on.

 Its the old model without steering damper, etc.

I can get it for a good price, so its either this one or a lowish km 800GS.

I have option till tomorrow, and a friend that rides a LC said I shouldn’t buy it, hence my question!

there was a problem with the 2013. There was a few instances of tank slap in certain situations. that is why the 2014 model came out with the steering damper. if it was me i would still go for the 1200. Ride and power, different world to the 800

I'd go for 214 upwards.
2013 also had a different flywheel. not sure why it was changed.

But whats the price?

A bit more than what I want to spend on a bike now, but I guess at this price its a bit of a better deal than a 800.

I had a couple of 800 in the past and its really a nice bike for me, but I always wanted a 1200 for when I grow up!

I am not mechanical at all, so don’t want to get myself into trouble, but if it lasted for 45k km, it couldnt be that bad?

What says the clever guys?

Just fit aftermarket dampener. Then what remains as a problem? Buy it man.... But.....is it a good price? I don't know really....

Seems like a good price.
Know the issues and enjoy the ride.
Or take the same money and get a decent 2010/11 GSA.

2014 still had the same flywheel.  Only changed on the 2014 GSA and in 2015 on the GS.  Make no major difference.
