Just need some info : Travelling through the Karoo in 2 weeks time. Some "novice" and "medium" guys on GS'e doing the trips. Not doing to many gravel but will do the gravel from Loxton to Fraserburg (is it gravel ? ) and then to Merweville to Sutherland, and also from Sutherland via Moordenaarskaroo gravel routes to Laingsburg (Komsberg pas etc).
Will this be fine for the novice guys. What is the gravel like (sandy, stones, good or bad etc?)
Any special precautions needed ?
