I have done quite a bit of off road riding, mostly adventure type in SA but also including the Western part of Namibia all the way up to the Kunene, but never any off road racing. Would it be realistic to enter for the Tankwa in the Adv bike class (riding a 640 Adv)? If so, what kind of equipment would one need?

We are thinking about an adventure class however definitely not going to dilute the Off-Road & Rally classes. After the successful first two events the third one will at a new level with planned -+ 750km for Off-Road Bikes & 1000Km for Rally Bikes.  Adventure Bikes/logistics still needs to be ironed out and will advise once we have Feb & March races dusted and can get back up to Tankwa.
ps
For Rally & Off-Road classes you would have had to had raced before.

Hi Pluto  sorry been travelling and only get to catch up with the track setters this weekend so can't tell you much however it sounds typical off-road with some forest sections and not as fast as the previous two events in Riviersonderend.  Will post again after the weekend.

Mooi foto Chris!  Baie bikes, en net 6 quads.

Maar die quads het die stofmaak titel maklik gevat.
