Hi guys,
I need some advice please...
Recently my right - hand exhaust canister's stainless steel end cap started to rattle.
I took the canister off, and drilled out the three rivets that holds the black outer ring (1) and took it apart
I see that the inner steel ring (3) have holes that corresponds with the stainless steel cap (2)
I tried to push the inner steel ring (3) into the stainless steel cap (2) so I could rivet them together, but it does not fit into the cap.
Question - does these two parts need to be riveted together?
Will putting everything together and riveting the black end cap with new stainless rivets hold everything snugly in place, eliminating the rattle in the end cap?
All help will be appreciated!
