I've nearly lost my button on our Namibia trip and when I came back managed to fix it by using some silicone from the back.
Seems that losing the button is not the end of the world though, someone was kind enough to create and share a printable model:

So you can simply mail this to your nearest 3D printing shop and go fetch later if you don't have your own printer. Should cost less than R50 for a hand full of buttons.
