I saw someone elsewhere asking about getting braided brake lines as they had one fail.

This is more a GS issue than GSA from memory.

Anyone still running the original OEM rubber brake hoses, should get them changed!

The newest bikes are approaching 15 years old, the hoses have I heard a life of around 5 YEARS!

The hoses can "balloon" and burst causing a total loss of braking, or the inner crumbles and blocks it internally, no braking or brakes don't release properly.

Unfortunately, the hoses are not common, they changed almost each year and sometimes mid year. Your best bet is to remove your lines and take them as samples to your local shop such as Eden Machine Hydraulics and you should use new crush washers to refit them.  8)
