Wilddog interactive map for bike-friendly accommodation
« on: January 28, 2018, 09:05:04 pm »
Map of biker-friendly accommodation in Southern Africa

To get this map fully functional I will need your help. If you have stayed somewhere, or know of a place that should be included, please let me know.

To be included on the map is free of charge, but you can include more pictures and direct contact info of the venue for R18/month (R200/year).

If you are traveling, if possible please support the venues with a "Wilddog Paw" icon. These are premier members and help to keep this map alive.

Spread the word...........

Thanks Heimer.

Sure , you can make suggestions of venues here or by PM.

I can not add venues without their consent, so as soon as I have contacted them, I will remove the post with the suggestion. If possible and you know the owner of the venue you can send me a PM with the owner email address. I have found that using an email address starting with reception@   , info@   bookings@  etc is somewhat ineffective

Bush boys Camp, Tontledoos, Limpopo. Not sure if they're on the forum but a great place to stay and definitely bike friendly.  on the map , Flatdog on the forum. Have not been here, but looks excellent.
Nicks place, Smithfield, Freestate. Great food and accommodation, will make a plan to have your bike safe inside. email sent
Pride Rock, Tuli Block, Botswana - unless riding cut lines through northern Botswana this is the closest to game viewing on a bike you will get also very good semi-self catering luxury accommodation. email sent

Exactly what I had in mind. Later, depending on feedback, I might add a link in every listing which will go to a separate post for every venue where people can also give feedback
Thanks for the leads will contact them Nimmo :thumleft:

Prices great. They love bikes and wane help. There is spots for bikes to be out of harmsway.

Thanks Corne. I have looked at the thread, and it is mostly info from 4+ years ago, and one of the reasons I started this map. As soon as I have worked through the leads here, I will definitely start working through those :thumleft:
